Q:Why is ID verification required?
To ensure a safe and genuine community with zero fake profiles, our administrative staff verifies government IDs (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport). Your ID documents are strictly confidential and never displayed publicly.
Q:How long does it take for my profile to be approved?
Our verification team manually reviews profile details and photos within 2 to 4 business hours. You will receive an SMS and email notification as soon as your profile goes live.
Horoscope & Matchmaking
Q:How does horoscope matching work on Meythra?
We calculate astrological compatibility based on traditional Tamil 10-Porutham astrology, analyzing Rasi, Star/Nakshatra, Paava Dosham, and Sevvai Dosham to provide accurate compatibility scores.
Q:Can I search for profiles based on specific community or location?
Yes. Our advanced search lets you filter by Religion, Community, Sub-caste, Gothram, City/District (Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruppur, Salem, etc.), Education, and Occupation.
Privacy & Safety Controls
Q:Who can see my phone number and email address?
You have complete control over your privacy settings. You can choose to make your contact info visible to all verified members, only to members whose Interest you have accepted, or completely hidden upon request.
Q:Can other members download my photos?
No. All profile photos are protected with watermarks, right-click disabling, and strict privacy flags to prevent unauthorized downloads or misuse.
Q:How do I report or block a suspicious profile?
Every profile page has a 'Report Profile' and 'Block' option. When reported, our safety team investigates within 1 hour and takes strict action against fraudulent behavior.
Interests & Communication
Q:How do I show interest in someone I like?
Simply click the 'Send Interest' button on their profile. They will receive an instant notification. Once they accept your interest, you can initiate conversations and view family details.
Q:What are Contact Unlocks?
Contact Unlocks allow you to directly view verified parent/guardian phone numbers and WhatsApp details to initiate marriage discussions directly with the bride/groom's family.
